This is an image from the sketchbook of the late, acclaimed Disney animator Pres Romanillos.  He began his career with The Little Mermaid, had a major breakthrough with his work on Pocahontas and Mulan, and most recently designed Prince Naveen of The Princess and The Frog.   Seeing these gorgeous sketches made us wish we could interview him, and ask him about the more controversial representations of race in Disney and how it felt from behind the scenes. Sadly, his secrets went with him.
